Kelton is an associate attorney in the litigation section of the firm. He handles various general litigation matters, including construction litigation, real property disputes, estate and trust litigation, community association law, and general civil litigation. Kelton has experience representing clients in Superior and District courts in North Carolina and District and Appellate courts in Utah.
Before joining the firm, Kelton worked with a firm in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he handled a wide range of cases, including general civil litigation, domestic matters, trusts/estates, and criminal matters at all stages from intake through trial.
Kelton is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, but has relocated to North Carolina after marrying his wife. He graduated from the University of Utah in 2018 and the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2021. Throughout his academic career, Kelton worked in student clinics and volunteered in several community outreach programs, assisting individuals with various legal issues, including Federal Fair Housing Act claims, tenants’ rights, and criminal record expungements.
In addition to his formal educational experience, Kelton interned with a Park City, Utah firm representing ski resorts and other outdoor brands in a wide range of matters, including ski resort defense, construction disputes, and wrongful death claims.
Kelton enjoys fly fishing and skiing and remains an active community member.
