Jordan Price HOA practice group presented seminars at the recent Community Associations Institute-NC Chapter Annual Law Day at NC State’s McKimmon Center. Attorneys Hope Carmichael, Matt Waters, Brian Edlin, Henry Jones, and Weldon Jones presented on topics ranging from Declaration amendments; case law updates; and how HOAs might handle the growing issues with AirBnb and other short-term rentals. The group from Jordan Price shared their knowledge and experience with the numerous Board members and community managers present. Matt, Hope, and others also plan to present again at the 2019 CAI-NC Law Day, to be held in Charlotte on a date and location TBD.
Matt Waters also traveled to Kitty Hawk to speak to another group of Board members and community managers. That event, produced by the CAI-NC Tidelands Council, offered attendees a detailed seminar on the importance of HOA assessment collection, and the process behind collection.
