Bio
Brian Edlin serves as the firm’s Managing Partner and focuses his practice on construction law, real
estate development, and community association matters. He represents companies across the
construction and real estate industries, including restoration companies, subcontractors, specialty trade contractors, and general contractors involved in both new construction and post-casualty restoration projects.
Brian regularly advises clients on construction contracts, risk management, and dispute resolution and has extensive experience representing clients in construction litigation and arbitration.
In his real estate practice, Brian advises developers, boards, and property managers on the formation, operation, and termination of planned communities, condominiums, and timeshares. He also counsels clients on development issues involving zoning, entitlements, and governance matters affecting common interest communities.
Brian is widely recognized for his work in construction and community association law. He is the author of Common Interest Communities in North Carolina, Third Edition, published by the North Carolina Bar Association in 2025, a legal treatise addressing planned communities, condominiums, timeshares, and other forms of common interest communities. He has also served as an expert witness in state and federal courts on issues involving declarant rights and complex condominium and planned community matters.
In addition to his legal practice, Brian serves as an adjunct professor of law at Campbell Law School and Texas A&M School of Law, where he teaches courses related to real estate and contract law. He is a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the College of Community Association Lawyers and frequently speaks on construction and real estate law topics.
