Bio
Henry Jones is a partner whose practice focuses on complex civil litigation, construction law, and business law. With decades of experience representing businesses, developers, and trade organizations, Henry provides strategic guidance in high-stakes disputes and complex commercial matters. He has been a leading voice in the development of community association and condominium law in North Carolina and has advised clients on legal and regulatory issues affecting the construction and development industries for many years.
Henry was among the earliest practitioners of community association law in North Carolina and played a significant role in shaping the state’s legislative framework governing planned communities and condominiums. In 1995 and 1996, he served on the committee responsible for drafting legislation that ultimately became the North Carolina Planned Community Act. Following the Act’s adoption in 1998, he continued to contribute to the legislative process through participation in amendments to both the Planned Community Act and the North Carolina Condominium Act over the next two decades.
In addition to his litigation practice, Henry represented clients before the North Carolina General Assembly for more than forty years, advocating on behalf of a wide range of industries and organizations. His clients included the North Carolina Poultry Federation, the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, and numerous participants in the construction industry. During his legislative career, he was consistently recognized among the most influential lobbyists in the General Assembly by the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research. In 2021, after more than four decades of legislative advocacy, Henry retired from lobbying and now focuses his practice on complex litigation and business matters.
